According to a report in an English daily, a Rs 500 crore scam has come out in the GHMC.
It is said that 2,400 hoarding are permitted in the city and over 100 crore revenue is being generated from those hoardings.
But there are more than 6,000 unauthorized hoardings in the city. These hoarding should generate Rs 500 crore income for the GHMC. Surprisingly, there is no record of the revenue and the money is reportedly taken by the department officers.
