According to reports, the residents of Indiranagar caught the man red-handed when he tried to attack the child with a syringe.
He was beaten black and blue and handed over to the police.
He was shifted to a police station and the police are grilling him.
But the man claimed innocence and alleged that the child was playing with the syringe and she got hurt by herself. He also said that he belongs to the same colony.
