Hyderabad: The Ranga Reddy district court on Tuesday remanded the alleged recruiter of activists for ISIS, Afsha Jabeen, in police custody for a period of 10 days.

The 37-year-old Hyderabadi woman was arrested by the Cyberabad police when she arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad from Abu Dhabi on September 11 along with her husband and three children.

She produced before the court the next day and sent to judicial remand for 14 days. The police filed a petition in the court seeking her custody for further interrogation. The Cyber Crime Police are trying to recover the mails sent by Afsha Jabeen and her alleged accomplice Salman Mohinuddin to a number of young persons.

The Cyberabad police arrested Salman Mohinuddin at the Shamshabad airport on January 16 when he tried to flee to Dubai.Afsha Jabeen reportedly created four Facebook accounts with fictitious name Nicky Joseph of London and posted several videos and Jihadi literature online in order to attract young Indian Muslims and persuade them to join the ISIS. Her Facebook account had 50,000 followers, she reportedly told the police.
