Eluru: An engineering student died on the spot and two others were injured, when a car turned turtle at Satyanarayanapuram village in Denduluru mandal on National Highway on Saturday evening.

The deceased, Kalluri Harinadha Reddy (21), a native of BHEL in Hyderabad who is pursuing electrical and electronics engineering in Koneru Lakshmaiah Engineering College in Vijayawada, hired services of two cabs to visit, Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Dwaraka Tirumala. He along left along with his friends Uppalapati Mohana Sai (Vijayawada), Boyi Ramesh (Gadwal, Kurnool district), Ganesh (Nuzvid), Kiran (Mangalagiri), Krishna (Repalle, Guntur district) and Kranthi Kumar (Guntur).

Police informed that mishap happened when the team were returning from the temple. Kranthi Kumar was driving the vehicle and at around 2.15 pm when the car reached Satyanarayanapuram, the driver lost control and the vehicle hit a tree on the flanks of the road and turned turtle.
