Hyderabad: The Customs officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) seized 900 grams of gold, in the form of powder, from an air passenger when he tried to smuggle it out of the airport on Thursday.

The passenger had arrived at Shamshabad airport in a flight from Dubai on Thursday morning. During the routine checks by the customs officials, the small sachets of gold in the form of powder were found in the passenger’s trousers. The passenger was detained for questioning and the gold was seized by the officials.
