Hyderabad: The sleuths of Commissioners’ Task Force on Saturday raided brothels in different parts under West Zone limits and apprehended the suppliers of sex workers and brokers. They rescued seven women, of whom six were from Kolkata.

The raids were conducted in Punjagutta, SR Nagar, Golkonda and Banjara Hills police station limits. The police seized Rs 20,800 cash, 11 cell phones and unused condoms from the accused. The police identified the organisers as Bora Jaya Krishna, 28, native of Khammam district, Ch Chanti, 22, native of Visakhapatnam, Riya Mustafa, 24, native of Kolkata, G Bharathi, 45, native of Kakinada, and Syed Munawar Basha, 29, native of Mahbubnagar district.

The accused persons were residing in localities including Punjagutta, SR Nagar, Manikonda, Banjara Hills and Yousufguda. After they came into contact with brothel organisers in the city they also resolved to run similar business within city limits.

They used to procure female sex workers from different districts and States by promising to pay Rs 25,000 to Rs 1 Lakh per week. They collected Rs 1,500-Rs 5,000 from each client.

The organisers and rescued women were handed over to the police stations including Punjagutta, SR Nagar, Golkonda and Banjara Hills for taking necessary action.

“Efforts shall continue to apprehend the absconding persons accused in these cases. Letters are being submitted to MROs to seize the flats being used as brothels,” said B Limba Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Task Force).
