4 accused get 10 yrs RI for rape
The Fifth Additional Metropolitan Sessions Court on Tuesday convicted four people up to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for raping and murdering a woman.

The brutal incident took place on November 4, 2011, near Big Bazaar in Ameerpet. The Punjagutta police registered a case under section 302 and section 376 of IPC and arrested N Mallesh (25), a rag picker; Md Jahangir (27), a labourer; Md Chand (24) a coconut vendor and SK Arif (27), a driver, all residents of MS Maqtha in Hyderabad, six days after the incident.
After the police produced the accused in court, Mallesh and Jahangir obtained bail while Chand and Arif remained in jail.
On Tuesday, Public Prosecutor Padma Latha and the Punjagutta police produced the witness on which the court convicted the accused and imposed 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for the accused.
