Navy claimed it was a regular exercise and only trained experts handle it. The injured were identified as V Ramana (46), who sustained 95 per cent burns, Suribabu and Demudu (both 55) sustained 30 per cent burns, Subhashant (35) 30 per cent burns and B Haranath (32) received 40 per cent burns. All were admitted to a corporate hospital after providing first aid at the NAD dispensary and the condition of Ramana was stated to be serious.
