Nizamabad: A farmer in Sarvapoor village in Gandhari mandal committed suicide on Friday due to drought and debt burden.

Kalleda Ramesh, 36, sowed paddy in his one acre land but the crop failed due to drought.

Also, the borewell dried up. Meanwhile, he accumulated a debt of nearly Rs 2 lakh.

Ramesh hanged in the field and committed suicide.

A case was registered based on the complaint given by his wife Padma. He is survived by wife and two daughters.
