Engg graduate hangs self over love affair
A 24-year-old engineering graduate, hailing from Prakasam district, ended his life by hanging to a window at his rented flat in Hyderabad over alleged love failure.
Hyderabad: A 24-year-old engineering graduate, hailing from Prakasam district, ended his life by hanging to a window at his rented flat in Hyderabad over alleged love failure.
The deceased Galla Sudheer, son of a farmer couple from Chemmakurthi in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, hanged himself to a window in his flat in KTR Colony of Nizampet area in KPHB, while his friends were asleep. Before taking the extreme step, Sudheer reportedly wrote on the wall in Telugu, “A girl is responsible for my death. She lied to me and she did not listen to what I said. I hate girls," and wrote his name below it. At 5 am on Monday, one of his friends who saw him hanging, informed the police.
The police said he had completed engineering in 2013 from a college in Ongole and came to Hyderabad about six months ago and was staying with eight persons.
During preliminary investigation, police found that Sudheer partied with his friends till late in the night on Sunday. When his friends went to sleep, Sudheer opened his laptop and browsed. Police said browsing on internet ended at 3 am on Monday. His friends said that he was in a relationship with a girl and proposed her to marry. However, he did not disclose her name.
He used to speak for long hours with the girl and used to browse on internet till early hours on the next day. They further told police that the girl broke up with him and she was not listening to his words. He also expressed jealousy with his friends when the girl started speaking to other boys, said KPHB police adding a case has been registered and probe is on.
