A girl student of Kakatiya University College of Engineering has allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a speeding train near Warangal railway station during evening hours of Thursday.
Warangal: A girl student of Kakatiya University College of Engineering has allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a speeding train near Warangal railway station during evening hours of Thursday.
The locals found the girl’s body at Chintal Bridge and informed the police. The deceased was identified R Lalitha, 19. She hails from Ramachandrapuram thanda of Mattampalli Mandal in Nalgonda district, informed the Government Railway Police (GRP) Sub-Inspector Srinivas.
She was studying B Tech (ECE) first year and stays at a private hostel near the university in Hanamkonda. The reason for her extreme act was not known. The body was shifted to MGM Hospital and postmortem would be conducted on Friday.
The GRP police booked a case in connection with the incident and investigation is on. The police informed the girls’ parents, R Mangtha and Bujji, who were labourers, about the incident.
