The Mirchowk police on Friday arrested Bandla Sai Babu, the chief editor of a book house, for allegedly publishing derogative information and an imaginary photo of Prophet Mohammed in his book. The arrest was made in response to a complaint lodged by one Mohammed Arashad Ali.
Hyderabad: The Mirchowk police on Friday arrested Bandla Sai Babu, the chief editor of a book house, for allegedly publishing derogative information and an imaginary photo of Prophet Mohammed in his book. The arrest was made in response to a complaint lodged by one Mohammed Arashad Ali.
The police registered a case against Sai Babu under section 295 (A) of IPC. All the offices and establishments of the book house were sealed along with the books printed and circulated were collected and seized, said South Zone DCP V Satyanarayana in a press note. The publisher has agreed to withdraw the books that are in circulations and offer fresh copies to the buyers.
