13 students drown off Murud beach

A picnic at coast of the Arabian Sea turned tragic on Monday for a group of youngsters from a Pune college with 13 of them drowning off the popular Murud-Janjira beach in adjoining Raigad district. The incident occurred in afternoon when altogether 18 students ventured into the sea to swim. The students, aged between 18 and 20, were undergoing BSC and BCA computer courses.Â
