Woman attempts immolation in front of CCS
A 30-year-old housewife from Gandhinagar allegedly attempted to set herself ablaze along with her two kids in front of the Central Crime Station in Hyderabad. The housewife resorted to the extreme strep as she was distressed over the police not taking action on her complaint.
Hyderabad: A 30-year-old housewife from Gandhinagar allegedly attempted to set herself ablaze along with her two kids in front of the Central Crime Station in Hyderabad. The housewife resorted to the extreme strep as she was distressed over the police not taking action on her complaint.
According to sources, the woman went to CCS at around 3.30 pm on Tuesday and spilled kerosene on herself and her two children including a baby girl, alleging that the police were not looking into her complaint despite repeated visits to the Gandhi Nagar police station.
Police personnel present at the spot with the help of passersby rescued her and children. The incident came to light on Wednesday. When asked about the grievance, she told the police that she had lodged a complaint with the Gandhinagar police against her husband who married another woman.
