10 injured in road mishap

Hyderabad: As many as 10 persons, including nine engineering students were injured when the college bus they were traveling rammed into a lorry at Hayathnagar on Thursday. According to Hayathnagar police, the accident took place at around 9 am on Thursday,
when the bus belonging to Swathi Engineering College carrying about 25 students from various engineering streams was heading to the college located at Kothagudem X roads in Ranga Reddy district. As soon as the bus reached Lakshmareddy Palem, it rammed into a lorry loaded with sand that was taking a turn on the highway. The bus driver and nine students were injured in the accident.
The police said that the locals at the spot rescued the injured students and sent them to a nearby hospital for treatment. The police added that the bus driver who was riding with high speed, lost control and rammed into the lorry. A case has been booked by the Hayathnagar police for investigation.
