Johannesburg: If you are a fan of 'The Simpsons,' then this news might make your day as the American animated sitcom is all set to air its first live episode in May.

The show's executive producer Al Jean said that Fox will find some creative ways to make sure that Homer's three-minute segment airs live and is bit confident that the "great improviser" Dan Castellaneta will pull it off, Channel 24.reports.

Jean, who thinks this is a first for animation, said that he is sure that the people will like it.

It is being said that the three minutes episode of the animated sitcom will show patriarch Homer Simpson appearing live with actor Dan Castellaneta, who voices the beer guzzling factory worker, expressing the character's opinions on the current affairs with the use of motion capture technology.

At the end of the episode, which will air on 15 May, the fans will also get to see Marge, Lisa and Bart Simpson.
