Newborn baby found at garbage dump in Hyderabad

A newborn baby girl was found at a garbage dump in Moula Ali on Saturday. The locals nearby heard the baby's cries and rushed her to the hospital with the help of the police.

Police suspect that the child might have been born out of wedlock or that her parents abandoned her a few hours after her birth as she was a girl child. The police informed that the baby was wrapped in a cloth and left in a garbage dump at HB Colony in Moula Ali.

The child still had the umbilical cord attached along with blood stains all over the body suggesting that she was delivered just a few hours ago, stated the Kushaiguda police. The baby later was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for treatment and has been kept under observation. A case has been registered for abandoning a child and the police are verifying CCTV footages installed in the surrounding areas to trace who abandoned the child.
