Fake voter ID gang busted
The accused Challuri Srinivas, a native of Venkatapuram in Khammam district came to Hyderabad in 2011. About a year ago, he met accused Ramu, who was working as DPO (Outsourcing employee), in Circle VII office at Khairatabad.
Hyderabad: The West Zone Task Force Police on Sunday apprehended two persons including an outsourcing employee working in GHMC for making fake voter-ID cards.
Acting on credible information, the task force sleuths raided a private place near GHMC Circle VII office in Khairatabad and nabbed a Moosapet resident Challuri Srinivas (29), owner of SSV Tax Consultancy and Deekonda Ramu (33), DPO at GHMC, a resident of Mettuguda.
The accused Challuri Srinivas, a native of Venkatapuram in Khammam district came to Hyderabad in 2011. About a year ago, he met accused Ramu, who was working as DPO (Outsourcing employee), in Circle VII office at Khairatabad.
Whenever Srinivas wanted a fake voter-ID, he used to send the details of the customer to Ramu through email and get a fake ID prepared. They used to collect Rs 700 for every ID,” said DCP Reddy.
