Out of 15 house breakings, two were in Tuni rural limits and 13 in Visakhapatnam city and rural areas.

Mallesh is a history-sheeter in Narsipatnam and was also in jail for committing 12 house breakings. During his jail term, he befriended Tadi Sudhakar Reddy, who is also an offender, earlier arrested in a fake currency racket case.

Apparao was known to Mallesh for years and Chandan was known to Sudhakar Reddy. All the four united as a team and started committing offences since four months. They struck in Duvvada, airport, MVP area, Anakapalle rural, Narsipatnam rural, PM Palem, Dwaraka zone and Nakkapalle.

Mallesh was planning the burglary and implementing it while the other three were helping him disposal of the valuables.
Duvvada Inspector Simhadri Naidu, one of the investigation officers in the case, said Mallesh is the one, who searches for houses without inmates, checks the surroundings and during the night he gains entry into the houses and decamps with valuables.

Naidu also said that the accused has a strange habit of watching movies in the morning and breaking houses in the night.
"The modus operandi is also normal.

He uses an iron rod and breaks the locks. After the theft, he approaches the other three who help him to dispose", said Simhadri Naidu. All the four were remanded to judicial custody.
