2 die as van bus collide
According to Sub-Inspector D Mallikarjuna, an Elicher van carrying saplings to Bellary from Rajamahendravaram rammed into RTC bus coming in the opposite direction.
Kurnool: Two persons died and one sustained severe injuries when a van collided head-on with a RTC bus under the limits of Orvakal police station limits on Saturday.
According to Sub-Inspector D Mallikarjuna, an Elicher van carrying saplings to Bellary from Rajamahendravaram rammed into RTC bus coming in the opposite direction.
In the mishap, van driver Narayana (40) died on the spot. Two other persons Sai (20) and Ramesh received serious injuries. They were shifted to Government General Hospital in Kurnool for medical treatment.
Sai succumbed to injuries while he was undergoing treatment in the hospital. Narayana belongs to Anantapur while Sai and Ramesh were natives of West Godavari district. The police registered a case and took bus driver into custody.
