8 pilgrims injured as bus Sumo collide

Tirupati: In mishap involving a Tata Sumo and an APSRTC bus in Tirumala, 8 pilgrims from Maharashtra were injured on Thursday. According to information reaching here, the mishap occurred when the driver of the Tata Sumo lost control while negotiating a curve on the Papanasam road, near Tirumala and hit the bus coming in opposite direction.
The injured were first treated in the TTD Aswini hospital on the hills before they were shifted to SVRR government hospital, down the hills here. A case has been registered.
