Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a one-year-old baby girl was raped by a street vendor at Doodh Bavi in Secunderabad. Police arrested the accused and registered cases under various sections.
According to Chilkalguda police, on the intervening night of September 6 and 7, at around 1 am, the accused Deep Singh alias Deepu, 20, who sells sweet corn in the Doodh Bavi locality, committed the crime.
The accused, a resident of UP, was residing in the adjoining room of the girl's family which hails from the same village. He took away the younger daughter while both her parents were asleep and ‘assaulted her sexually’.
Based on the complaint of the father, police registered the case and apprehended the accused on Wednesday afternoon.
