Hyderabad: The customs officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Friday held an air passenger for attempting to smuggle gold out of the airport.

According to the sources, the air passenger hailing from Hyderabad landed in Shamshabad in a Dubai bound flight on Friday early hours.

During regular checks by the customs officials, they intercepted the passenger and found a gold biscuit in his baggage. The gold biscuit was weighing around 320 grams worth Rs 10 lakh.

The officials seized the gold and detained the passenger for questioning.
