Case booked against AIMIM leader

Hyderabad: A case was booked against AIMIM leader and member of AP Bar Association Z H Javed for evading the traffic police during the drive against drink-driving at Banjara Hills on Friday night.

While all other, who were caught on the charge of drink-driving and hand over their vehicles to the police, Javed reportedly fled.

During enforcement drives against drink-driving under the 25 traffic police station limits in Hyderabad, the police had booked over 100 persons.

The police said all the violators would be called for counselling sessions at Traffic Training Institute and then would be produced in the courts concerned.

Notices would be issued to the MIM leader, the police said.
