​Hyderabad: Tension prevailed in Suraram Colony on Saturday when people of two groups indulged in a clash over Ganesh idol procession.
According to sources, the procession carrying Ganesh idol was passing through Saibaba Nagar at around 12.30 am on Saturday.
Some local residents had asked the organisers of the procession to lower the volume of the songs they were playing. However, the organisers refused to do it despite several requests.
Enraged with this, some youngsters hurled stones at the organisers and others who were present along with the procession and they all indulged in a fist fight. Some people were injured in the incident and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
