Man kills wife, projects it as murder by others

​Hyderabad: In a bizarre incident, a watchman strangulated his wife to death, taking advantage of an attack against both of them by some workers. The accused was allegedly suspecting his wife’s fidelity and used the opportunity to kill her and made it look like she was beaten to death by those who attacked him.

K Mallesh and K Venkatamma (33), hailing from Jinnaram village in Rangareddy district came to Hyderabad about two months ago and were working as caretakers at an under construction house at Radha Nagar in Bandlaguda. The building belonged to one Naseer of Tolichowki.

Late on Saturday night, two persons, who were doing centering work in the building approached Venkatamma asking her to permit them to use electricity for the work. But when Venkatamma denied, the two workers indulged in a verbal duel with her and beat her. After Mallesh returned from work, Venkatamma complained about the incident to him and again Mallesh indulged in a fight with the workers, but the neighbors pacified both the parties.

On Sunday morning, Mallesh called the police and informed them that the workers killed his wife. The police immediately took the workers into custody. They also took Mallesh for questioning, after seeing some marks on Venkatamma’s throat. Rajendranagar SI Venkat Reddy said during questioning, Mallesh confessed to have killed his wife and tried to put the blame on the workers.
