YSR Congress leader murdered in Visakhapatnam
YSR Congress party leader B Raju was murdered on Thursday night by unidentified persons in the outskirts of V. Sarabavaram under Rolugunta police station limits in Visakhapatnam.
YSR Congress party leader B Raju was murdered on Thursday night by unidentified persons in the outskirts of V. Sarabavaram under Rolugunta police station limits in Visakhapatnam.
The YSRCP leader was on his way home after a meeting with locals at 10.45 pm on Thursday when he was attacked by unknown miscreants with sharp edged weapons, killing him on the spot. While the miscreants fled, Raju was found in a pool of blood.
The police are suspecting a political rivalry to be the reason behind the murder and Raju's wife Lakshmi was recently elected sarpanch of the village which is also said to be a reason for holding a grudge. A case has been registered and various angles into the case are being probed.
Sources reveal that the police have already taken few suspected persons into their custody for interrogation.
