Couple killed as car hits bike

Karimnagar: A couple was killed when a car hit their motorcycle on the city outskirts. According to police, Ch Ravi (47) and his wife Jaya (40) were returning home on the bike from Jakkapur village in neighbouring Medak district when a car coming from the opposite direction collided with their two-wheeler at bypass road, about 45 kms from the division headquarters, on Monday night. Both of them died on way to hospital, police said. A case under section 304-A of IPC has been registered and the bodies were sent to government hospital at Sircilla for postmortem. The driver of the speeding car was taken into custody, police added.
