Visakhapatnam: A job operator, who cheated a BE gradate girl to the tune of Rs 12 lakh promising her a lucrative job in the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, was arrested by the Pendurthi police on Friday. Sub-Inspector of Pendurthi A Vijay Kumar said that Prasad posed himself as an officer in HR department of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has been cheating the gullible youngsters by collecting money from them and promising jobs in the steel plant and in other PSUs.

The victim and her family members lodged a complaint against the fraudster Prasad. Based on the complaint, the police investigated the case and nabbed him. He was later produced in the court and was sent to judicial remand. The SI said investigation revealed that Prasad had duped many gullible unemployed youth in the past using the same tricks.
