​Nalgonda: Two persons, including a woman, travelling in a lorry were killed in the early hours of Thursday after the vehicle hit a stationary RTC Super Luxury bus belonging to the Uppal depot at Chikatigudem village near Nakrekal. 25 bus passengers were injured as it fell into a ditch six feet below the road level and capsized after being hit by the lorry from behind.The deceased were identified as Rukminamma (60) and Muthavarapu Venkateswarlu (45), residents of Killapadu village of Krishna district.

The bus passengers expressed anger at the driver’s negligence which resulted in the vehicle taking two somersaults. The police found fault with the bus driver for the accident. They said he was negligent as he did not stop the vehicle at two bus bays en route to the Karlipahad tollgate. Other drivers said the mishap occurred as the driver stopped near a speed-breaker.
