CA dropout held for lifting laptops, mobiles
The SR Nagar Police arrested a CA (Chattered Accountancy) course dropout who resorted to lifting of laptops and mobile phones from various hostels under SR Nagar Police Station limits to make easy money, and seized gadgets worth Rs 2.1 lakh from him.
​Hyderabad: The SR Nagar Police arrested a CA (Chattered Accountancy) course dropout who resorted to lifting of laptops and mobile phones from various hostels under SR Nagar Police Station limits to make easy money, and seized gadgets worth Rs 2.1 lakh from him.
According to police, the accused has been identified as Kota Vijay Krishna, 24, a native of Prakasam district, who was residing at a hostel behind SR Nagar Police Station on the premise of studying the CA course.
The accused, who discontinued his studies, committed thefts of laptops and cell phones with the intention of making easy money. The police said, while staying in the hostel, he observed that other students were leaving their belongings on their beds and closets.
He stole them and hid them away from others, before shifting to a new hostel. The police after watching the CCTV footage of some of the hostels, arrested him and seized nine laptops and four cell phones, all worth Rs 2.1 lakh from his possession.
