Mother and child die in road mishap
There were hit by a speeding milk tanker that had tried to overtake the scooter. All four were thrown off the scooter. While Neelima died on the spot, Komali succumbed to her injuries while being shifted to a hospital. Nagarjuna and Chitra suffered grievous injuries. Police have registered a case.Â
Tirupati: A woman and her daughter were killed and her husband and another daughter injured in a road mishap at Mungilipattu on Puthlapattu-Naidupeta highway, 20 km from Tirupati, on Tuesday. According to Chandragiri police, a family of four, comprising Nagarjuna (27), his wife Neelima (26) and two daughters Chitra (3) and 19-month old Komali, hailing from Cherlopallin in Tirupati mandal were going on a scooter to Kanipakam for offering prayers at the Vinayaka temple there.
