Kurnool:The Yemmiganur Prohibition and Excise department officials conducted surprise raids on Saturday at a chilli field and seized 45 ganja plantations. The Circle Inspector Lakshmi Durgaiah said that they had information of rearing of ganja plants in chilli field as sub-crop.

He said a case has been registered under NDPS Act and Lakshmanna was taken into custody. He didnot reveal the cost of the seized ganja plants. He would be sent to remand after producing him in court, the CI said.
