Sleuths of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested one more youth in connection with the Hyderabad ISIS module case. Earlier, the NIA arrested eight people in this case and filed a charge sheet against them.

​Hyderabad: Sleuths of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested one more youth in connection with the Hyderabad ISIS module case. Earlier, the NIA arrested eight people in this case and filed a charge sheet against them.

The accused, Mohammed Irfan, a resident of Zaheera Nagar in Old City aka Abu Jaffer aka Iffu, has played an active role along with other accused in the search of a safe house for physical training.

A release issued by the NIA said that Irfan specifically searched for safe house on the outskirts of Hyderabad along with another accused Muzaffer Hussain Rizwan.

Besides, he collected explosive precursors along with Mohammed Ilyas Yazdani from the outskirts of Pochampally in Nalgonda district.

Irfan also went to Anantapur in Rayalaseema to collect explosive material in pursuance of the conspiracy.

He took an oath of allegiance in favour of Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed Caliph of ISIS.
In the presence of Muzaffer Hussain Rizwan and Mohammed Ibrahim Yazdani, accused, was given the name Abu Jaffar, the release said.

Irfan was produced before the NIA Special Court at Hyderabad and remanded in judicial custody.
