Man kills wife, flees the scene
A 45-year-old housewife was murdered allegedly by her husband who smashed her head with a wooden pestle while she was asleep, at their residence in Iravendi village of Burgampahad mandal of the district in the wee hours of Wednesday. Â
​Kothagudem: A 45-year-old housewife was murdered allegedly by her husband who smashed her head with a wooden pestle while she was asleep, at their residence in Iravendi village of Burgampahad mandal of the district in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Later, he fled the place. The victim was identified as Kursam Kanakamahalakshmi. She migrated from Chhattisgarh seven years ago and was eking out a living by working as a daily labourer.
She became acquainted with Kursam Bhadraiah whom she had married three years ago. After the marriage, they lived happily for some time.
Later, happiness gave way to suspicion. Bhadraiah for the past one week was returning home late night in a tipsy condition and is alleged to have been harassing her. He reportedly killed her in the early hours of Wednesday.
