5-yr-old girl sexually assaulted
A five-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on Saturday by herneighbour when her parents were away from home. This gruesome incident took place at Hemavathinagar area in Erragadda here. It came to light after the victim’s mother returned home only to find her daughter bleeding.
​Hyderabad: A five-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on Saturday by herneighbour when her parents were away from home. This gruesome incident took place at Hemavathinagar area in Erragadda here. It came to light after the victim’s mother returned home only to find her daughter bleeding.
According to the police, the victim’s mother, who works in a private school, had left home for work at 10 am. Her husband, who was home with the children, later went to attend a funeral, leaving the girl alone. She returned home at around 1 pm only see her five-year-old daughter crying with blood stains on her frock.
The woman enquired from the girl as to what had happened and was shocked to know that one of their neighbors, identified as Mahesh by the girl, was the culprit.
The girl was taken to a private hospital where doctor confirmed sexual assault. The victim’s parents then lodged a complaint with the Sanathnagar Police Station.
The police have registered a case and sent the girl for medical examination at Gandhi Hospital. The police launched a manhunt to nab the accused.
