Security guard’s son & brother held for theft

Hyderabad: Two persons were arrested for damaging and stealing money from ICICI Bank’s ATM at Jayanagar Colony in Kukatpally police station limits.
The thieves have been identified as G Mahesh and his uncle G Kishtaiah. Police recovered Rs 9.18 lakh from the accused out of the total Rs 10,30,600 stolen from the ATM.
Mahesh’s father worked as security guard at the ATM. When his father was admitted to a hospital due to illness, Mahesh wore his uniform and entered the ATM centre on January 21 along with his uncle and damaged the ATM machine and took away the money, police said.
The accused persons were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody, police said.
