Cyberabad police arrested two fraudsters from New Delhi for cheating and fleecing job seekers in the garb of placement agency.  The arrested persons have been identified as Rahul Kaurav and Arjun Singh, both residents of West Guru Angadh Nagar in New Delhi. 

Hyderabad: Cyberabad police arrested two fraudsters from New Delhi for cheating and fleecing job seekers in the garb of placement agency. The arrested persons have been identified as Rahul Kaurav and Arjun Singh, both residents of West Guru Angadh Nagar in New Delhi.

The duo, with the help of some other accused had been cheating unemployed youth through their AS Group Consultancy. Police said that the fraudsters used to collect data of the job seekers from various websites that connect the job seekers and employers. Then they would contact the people desperate to find a job and lure them with fake offers.

Ones the job seekers start believing them, the accused would start squeezing money out of the victims in the name of security deposit, charges towards various things etc. The accused said to have taken Rs 1.87 lakh from the complainant Sravan Kumar Reddy of Hyderabad by luring him with a fake offer that he had been selected for Indigo Airlines.

They made him deposit money into different bank accounts in different installments. When Sravan did not get any appointment letter from Indigo Airlines, Sravan demanded for refund of the money following which the accused did not respond.

They even avoided his calls, police said.He then lodged a complaint with Cyber Crime wing of Cyberabad. The case was investigated thoroughly and the two accused were arrested from Delhi. They were produced before the court and sent to prison, police said.
