Police recover gold ornaments worth 2.5 lakh from the offender

​Nalgonda: The district police arrested a woman offender, Gogula, and recovered gold ornaments worth Rs 2.5 lakh.

Producing the offender before the media on Wednesday, SP Prakash Reddy listed the criminal history of Gogula, a native of Guntur. SP informed that on January 29, Gogula had stolen a wallet of gold ornaments from hand bag of Vijayalaxmi while boarding a bus in Miryalguda bus stand.

Her handiwork was captured by CCTV cameras installed at the bus stand. Based on Vijayalaxmi’s complaint, the video footage collected at bus stand was shared on police WhatsApp group.

The police soon succeeded in tracing the address of the offender and arrested her at her home in Vijayawada and recovered the gold ornaments.

Computer thief held
The Miryalaguda police arrested one person in connection with various theft cases and seized Rs 3.5 lakh worth computers, bikes and mobiles from him. Miryalaguda DSP Ramgopal Rao said Ramavath Ravi was arrested by town police. During the course of investigation, he confessed to his crimes.
