Hyderabad: Seven members of a gang including six engineering students who allegedly indulged in robbery at brothels here were been arrested by the Cyberabad Police on Thursday.

Prime accused B Ranga Raju, a businessman, hatched a plan along with M V Vamshi Kiran, M Nagendra Babu, T Sai Kiran, K Pranith Reddy, D Saiteja, Y Sri Teja Reddy (all BTech students) by going to brothels posing as customers and allegedly robbed cash, cell phones and other valuables from the customers, mediators and call girls besides collecting ATM cards and withdrawing amounts, they said.

They also used to take photographs/videos of the customers and call girls and threatened them not to give any complaints against them or else they would post such photos/videos on social media sites, a police official said.

Following a complaint, Raju and six other engineering students were arrested from Miyapur area here yesterday and on their interrogation, the accused confessed that they committed similar offences in different localities under Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits, police added.
