Hyderabad: Two persons were arrested for killing a 35-year-old man and burying him inside a building under construction, while a couple involved in the murder is still at large.

The arrested persons have been identified as Saif Bin Sabeth Barabood and his friend Hasham Ali, both residents of Hashamabad in Old City, while the victim is 35-year-old Syed Imran is a native of Kamatipura in Old City who works as Customer Service Officer at National Bank of Abu Dhabi.

Police said, Imran was having an illicit affair with Fatima, wife of Sayeed Bin Sabeth Barabood of Hashamabad, who works in Qatar Army. When he came to know that Imran had come to Hyderabad and was meeting his wife, Sayeed too landed in city and hatched a plan to kill his wife’s lover.

Accordingly, he discussed the plan with his wife Fatima, brother Saif. As per the plan, Fatima lured Imran to meet her at a house taken on rent by Sayeed at Jamalbanda in Bandlaguda on February 4 evening. When Imran arrived there, Saif and Sayeed sprinkled chilly powder and cut his throat with a knife, police said.

The next day, the killers sought the help of Hasham Ali in shifting the body to a house being built by the two brothers at Hashampura. All the four shifted the body in a Tata Sumo and buried the body inside the building. Later, Sayeed left for Qatar, while Fatima went into hiding, police said.

Police could detect the murder while investigating the missing case lodged by Imran’s family. Efforts are underway to arrest the absconding accused, police said.
