Rachakonda Cops raid fake oil unit in Aler
The Special Operations Team (SOT) police of Rachakonda commissionerate raided a shop in Aler and seized 100 cans of adulterated oil.

Aler: The Special Operations Team (SOT) police of Rachakonda commissionerate raided a shop in Aler and seized 100 cans of adulterated oil.
According to Aler SI Narasimhulu, the oil trader Samudrala Satyanarayana has been running a shop, Anjaneya Oil Traders, for the last few years by getting cooking oil in drums from Hyderabad and other areas and packing it into attractive cans of 3 and 5 liters with label sealing of sticker Sree.
Suspecting adulteration, some locals lodged complaint at Rachakonda police. On Friday, the SOT police raided Satyanarayana’s shop and seized 90 cans of 5-litre oil and 10 cans of 3-litres oil, 10,000 cans and can sealing stickers in large number.
Police registered a case against Satyanarayana under Adulteration Act and oil samples were sent to lab for testing.
Police said after receiving lab report further action against the trader would be initiated. It is learnt that Satyanarayana used to run an oil mill in Aler and closed it after incurring losses.
