The One Town police nabbed a thief involved in various theft cases in and around Karimnagar and Jagtial districts at Jagtial bus stand on Tuesday and recovered 28.5 tolas of gold from his possession.

Karimnagar: The One Town police nabbed a thief involved in various theft cases in and around Karimnagar and Jagtial districts at Jagtial bus stand on Tuesday and recovered 28.5 tolas of gold from his possession.

Presenting the thief before the media at Late Umesh Chandra Conference Hall in Karimnagar, Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy said that the thief was identified as Attineni Chandra Mohan alias Chandu (22), resident of Ayodhya village of Raikal mandal of Jagtial district. He was involved in various theft cases in Karimnagar and Jagtial districts and was imprisoned two times.

On February 18, he robbed a house at Boiwada in Karimnagar and One Town police registered a case. Based on CCTV footage the police traced him at Jagtial bus stand while he was leaving to Hyderabad and nabbed him. Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy appreciated the One Town Police officials along with officials of technical department, who played a key role in bursting the case.

Later, the Commissioner of Police released pamphlets designed by One Town police officials to prevent various kinds of thefts and precautions to be taken to prevent theft cases on the occasion.Additional Commissioner of Police T Annapurna, Assistant Commissioner of Police J Rama Rao, One Town police inspector Tula Srinivas Rao were present along with others.
