Woman CISF officer commits suicide

A woman Sub-Inspector (SI) of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) allegedly committed suicide at the official quarters of her relative on Tuesday.
Hyderabad: A woman Sub-Inspector (SI) of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) allegedly committed suicide at the official quarters of her relative on Tuesday.
According to Jawaharnagar police, the SI, Swati Chauhan (23), a native of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, was posted at the Pune airport.
She arrived at Hyderabad on February 24 and was staying at the official quarters of her relative Neelam Singh, who also works with the CISF.
Chauhan allegedly hanged herself with ‘Dupatta’ from the ceiling fan at around 2 pm on Tuesday when Neelam was away at work, police said.
It appears that Swati resorted to the extreme step due to stress of the job and also due to some health problems. Further investigations are underway, police said.
