​Hyderabad: City police on Wednesday arrested a truck driver, whodoubles up as god man, on charges of alleged sexual assault on a minor.
According to police, the accused, Mohammed Ahmed Khan, a resident of Asad Baba Nagar, resorted to the heinous crime when the 17-year-old girl suffering from insomnia visited him for treatment on Monday.
According to the police, the truck driver lures people claiming that he can resolve any problem with his blessings. Believing him the victim’s mother had earlier taken the victim to the accused.
The victim visited him alone on Monday as her mother had to visit a hospital. Taking advantage of this, Khan locked the girl inside his house and sexually assaulted her. The girl informed the ordeal to her mother following which she filed a complaint with the Bahadurpura police.
A case was registered against Khan under the provisions of Indian Penal Code and also under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and the girl was sent to medical examination. After investigation, police nabbed the accused in the early hours of Wednesday.
