​Hyderabad: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested an assistant executive engineer of the irrigation department, K P V Satyanarayana, working at Sultanabad and in-charge of Kalva Srirampur, while accepting bribe.
ACB officials said that the accused demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant P Devender Rao, civil contractor for showing official favour by recording false work executed by him in the M Book and to forward the same to the Deputy Executive Engineer and Executive Engineer for sanction of a bill amount.
The tainted officer was later produced before the designated judge at Karimnagar.
