Woman, son crushed to death

Kurnool: A mother and her nine-month-old son were crushed by a paddy harvester at Sulavai village in Holagunda mandal in the district on Wednesday.
According to Holagunda SI E Maruthi, Harijana Venkateswarlu, his sister-in-law Harijana Lakshmi, 21, and her son Jagadeesh of nine months, were proceeding to Maremma Avva temple at Holagunda to on a motorcycle for a darshan.
When vehicle reached a sharp curve at SC Colony, an Eicher vehicle towing a paddy harvesting machine hit the motorcycle at a high speed. Due to the impact of the crash, Lakshmi and her son Jagadeesh fell under wheels of the paddy harvesting machine and died instantly while Venkateswarlu was injuried.
