Gang of three auto-drivers held for thefts
A gang of auto-drivers, who were involved in theft of their passenger’s belongings, were arrested on Monday. Police recovered a cash of Rs 30,000 from them.
Hyderabad: A gang of auto-drivers, who were involved in theft of their passenger’s belongings, were arrested on Monday. Police recovered a cash of Rs 30,000 from them.
The accused were identified as Syed Imran (26) resident of Hafez Babanagar, Syed Ibrahim (22) resident of Phisalbanda, Santoshnagar and Syed Nizam (23) resident of Talabkatta, Yakutpura.
They used to steal cash from passengers travelling in their autos. The prime accused Imran was arrested earlier in the year 2010 by Santosh Nagar Police. In the year 2015, the second accused was arrested by Afzalgunj Police for similar offences.
They committed the latest thefts in the first week of May. They were apprehended at Chilkalguda X Roads on Monday, while they were moving under suspicious circumstances with their auto. During interrogation they confessed to have committed the offences.
