Girl dead under mysterious circumstances
Swathi, wife of Naresh, who went missing from bus station on May 2, died under mysterious circumstances at her parents’ house in Pallerla village in the district on Tuesday.

It may be recalled that Naresh and Swathi eloped and married in Mumbai in March. However, Srinivas Reddy, Swathi’s father, coaxed them to get back to their native on the pretext of holding their wedding. However, on Tuesday, death of Swathi by suicide raised doubts.
Swathi’s parents informed the police that their daughter had committed suicide by hanging herself with a chunni in the bathroom in early hours of Tuesday.
Athmakur police registered a case and further investigation is on. Meanwhile, the whereabouts of Naresh are still unknown.
His parents have approached State Human Rights Commission seeking immediate action into the missing case.
