Police investigate viral video of man firing in the air
After the video of a man firing 12 rounds in the air went viral on the social media the Falaknuma police booked a case against the accused and began investigation.
​Hyderabad: After the video of a man firing 12 rounds in the air went viral on the social media the Falaknuma police booked a case against the accused and began investigation.
The South Zone police after preliminary investigation found that Mirza Ibrahim Ali Baig, the proprietor of Progress School and College at Engine Bowli is the accused.
The video, which went viral on the social media, showed the man firing around 12 rounds in the air with a revolver on the occasion of his birthday. Posted on social media on May 5, the video caught the attention of some media persons recently and was brought to the notice of police.
The Falaknuma police at a press conference on Monday explained the media that they were investigating the case of whether the weapon was genuine and if the person in the video was a licence holder of the firearm.
“We are investigating the case and the details would be known after the investigation,” said ACP Falaknuma, Md Tajuddin.
